Joanna Pfeiffer
Joanna is a junior
jazz performance major at the University of the Arts, where she received the promising artist scholarship. Originally from
New Castle, PA, she began her training with The Ludovici Dance Academy. Throughout the years she has studied ballet, jazz,
modern, hip hop, and tap. She also attended many different competitions and convention where she won numerous awards and scholarships.
While attending these conventions she has had many opportunities to work with countless choreographers, who have inspired
her in more ways than one. This is Joanna’s second season with Xhale and she has performed in the Philly Fringe Festival,
The Koresh Artist Showcase and The Music of Katie Thompson.
Alexa Meissner Originally from Media,
Pennsylvania. Alexa began her dance training at the age of three at Media Dance center, now known as Springton Dance Academy.
Here, she studied all styles of dance while also competing on the competition team where she won numerous technique and performance
awards as well. She graduated from the Academy of Notre Dame in 2009. Here, she also studied dance in the performing arts
program. Since she began dancing, Alexa has worked with many noted choreographers as well as attended many regional and national
conventions, competitions, and festivals where she was also a recipient of many scholarships to numerous dance intensives
and colleges. Alexa is now continuing her training as a sophomore dance major, soon to become a jazz performance major, on
a scholarship at the University of the Arts. She would like to thank Michael Susten for giving her this great opportunity.
This is Alexa's first season with Xhale!
Molly McCloskey Molly is originally from Ellicott City, Maryland where she
trained and performed for fifteen years at Arabesque Studio of Dance. Over the years, she has also danced at notable institutions
such as Broadway Dance Center, Point Park University, and the American Dance Institute. Recently, Molly has performed as a
dancer for Six Flags America and as an “Angel” for the Philadelphia Wings Lacrosse team. She is currently continuing
her training as a Presidential Scholar at the University of the Arts where she is a junior Jazz Dance Performance major. This
is Molly’s first season with Xhale.
Carlee Eberly Carlee Eberly began formally studying dance in 1998 at Houston Academy of Dance, in Houston, TX, where she received
training in ballet, modern, and jazz. She has been a member of Exclamation Dance Company, under the direction of Kenneth Epting,
for the past six years. While she was there, Carlee served as a principal dancer and rehearsal assistant. She has also danced
at Joel Hall Dance Center, attended the Ailey School Summer Program in 2006 and 2007, along with dancing on scholarship at
the EDGE Performing Arts Center in Hollywood. Carlee has had the privilege of working with many teachers and choreographers
including Ana Marie Forsythe, Troy Powell, Eddy Ocampo, and Jeffrey Gerodias. She is currently a modern dance education major
at University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA, graduating in May 2012. This is Carlee's first season with Xhale.
